SIALKOT: A woman, Saira Jamshaid (36), ended her life by drowning herself in the Marala-Ravi-Link (MR Link) Canal on Thursday. She took the extreme step along with her two infant daughters near village Kotli Bawa Faqeer Chand, Pasrur tehsil.

Some eyewitnesses told police that Saira Bibi was carrying her infant daughters Noor Fatima (2) and Zahra (one) in her arms when she jumped into the canal.

The divers of Rescue 1122 fished out the body of Saira Bibi from the canal while the search operation was on to find the minor girls.

The police said that no solid reason behind this nasty incident was reported. Her husband just returned home from abroad a few days ago to celebrate Eid with his family.

DIE: Two boys Hamid and Aamish were killed while their third friend Hassan was injured seriously as their motorcycle rammed into a roadside tree due to speeding near Saahowala, Sambrial tehsil, on Thursday.

Both died at the scene. Hassan was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition.
