Two women rescued – 09 Mar 2021

KASUR: Two women, who plunged into the canal to commit suicide over domestic issues in separate incidents, were rescued here on Monday.

Shaheen Bibi of Mor Khunda jumped into LBD canal to end her life. Some locals rescued her and she was hospitalised and handed over to the family.

In another incident, Seema Bibi of Phoolnagar locality jumped into the canal near Head Baloki.

According to police, farmers working in the nearby fields rescued the woman, who is mentally challenged.

Police have handed over the woman to her family after her treatment at THQ hospital.
