Two women held on human smuggling charge

RAWALPINDI:TheFederalInvestigation Agency`s immigration staff at Islamabad airport on Tuesday arrested a British woman and a Pakistani girl whom she was trying to smuggle to Dubai.

According to sources, the FIA recovered a fake marriage certificate and other travel documents from them.

During initial investigation by the FIA staff, the two confessed to having pos-sessed a fake marriage certificate.

The British woman of Pakistan origin was intercepted by the FIA staff when she approached the airport`s briefing counter, along with the girl, a resident of Kotli, when the check-in for a Dubai flight was in progress. Both women were shifted to the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell, Islamabad, for further legal proceedings.-Mohammad Asghar
