Transperson found strangled at home
LAHORE: A transgender person was allegedly found strangled at his rented quarter in Johar Town area on Monday.
A local alerted the police on finding Farzand alias Farzana (49) dead.
The transperson was living alone in a quarter near Allah Hu Chowk.
Declaring it a blind murder, a police official said the personnel of the homicide unit started investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, South Cantt investigation police claimed to have traced a blind murder case and arrested a young woman allegedly involved in the killing of her husband.The police said a man, Ali Murtaza, was allegedly shot dead a couple of days back at his home by some unidentified suspects.
Murtaza`s wife Maryam (20) alleged that her husband might have been killed by some of his friends following some disputes.
However, during investigation it transpired that Maryam herself shot in the temple of her husband over some family matters.
Married at the age of 14, Maryam had three children and the couple had sour relations over some family issues during the last few months, the police said adding that she was arrested after she confessed to her crime during interrogation.
