SIALKOT: A woman was burnt alive allegedly by her husband and inlaws at her house at Taajowal village, Noorkot, late on Wednesday night.

Police said some people set Nabeela, 26, on fire by tying her with ropes in Shakargarh`s village.

They said neighbours found her charred body inside her home. A forensic team from Gujranwala reached the spot and collected evidence to solve the `murder mystery`.

A case was registered against Shahzad and three members of his family.

According to the FIRlodged on the complaint of Nabeela`s father Liaquat Ali, Shahzad and his family would torture his daughter. Recently, she complained that the suspectshad torturedherand her husband also threatened to kill her. He alleged that the suspects threw kerosene on his daughter after tying her with charpoy and set her ablaze.

Noorkot SHO Inspector Shahbaz Cheema said police had arrested Shahzad, his father Muhammad Boota and mother Rani Bibi and sent them behind bars. Correspondent
