TAXILA: A teenage couple was killed apparently for honour in Jand Police station limits of Attock on Monday.

SHO Nisar Ahmed told newsmen that the girl, a student in grade 10, and her cousin were going towards school when two masked men came on a motorcycle and intercepted them near Mohallah Rehmania and opened fire on them, killing them on the spot and managed to escape.

He said the police shifted the bodies to THQ hospital and handed them to their respective families after autopsy.

The SHO said the police had registered a double murder case on the complaint of father of the girl and started further investigation.

Responding to a question, he said that the reason behind the murder seems to be honour.

Attock District Police Officer Syed Shahzad Nadeem Boukhari constituted two different teams to arrest the culprits involved in the murder and directed the teams to arrest them without any further delay. Correspondent
