Man ‘strangles’ minor daughter over domestic dispute – March 02, 2017
KASUR: A man allegedly killed his minor daughter and threw her body in a pond in Lambay Jageer village.
Police on Wednesday recovered the body and registered a case against the father who had fled from the scene. Police sent the body to Pattoki THQ Hospital for autopsy.
According to police, Nasir Ali of Liaquat Town, a father of two daughters, had an argument with his wife Guria Bibi a few days back. Guria left the house and went to her parents along with her elder daughter Eman Fatima, 6, but left two-year-old Natasha back home.
Ali went to the house of his in-laws to drop Natasha also, but his wife refused to keep her. Unable to take care of his minor daughter, Ali allegedly strangled Natasha and threw her body in a pond in the village, at a slight distance from Liaquat Town.
Police registered a case on the complaint of Guria, while the suspect Ali managed to escape.
ENCOUNTER: An alleged criminal was killed in what was called an encounter with Kot Radha Kishan police on Tuesday night. Two accomplices of the killed suspect managed to escape.
Police claimed the suspect was wanted in over 30 cases with Kasur, Lahore, Sahiwal, Okara, and Bahawalnagar police.
They said Kot Radha Kishan police during snap-checking at Badami bridge spotted three suspects on a motorcycle and signalled them to stop, but they did not. Police chased the suspects and the two sides engaged in an encounter near Cinema Morr in Kot Radha Kishan. After an exchange of fire, two suspects fled from the scene leaving their third accomplice in an injured condition. The injured suspect died on the way to hospital. He was identified as Nasrullah Javaid alias Jaidi.
Police claimed to have recovered weapons and a snatched motorcycle from the suspect. They registered a murder case against the absconding suspects and were looking for them.
