Man kills wife, her mother in Kandhkot
SUKKUR: A man shot dead his wife and her mother in a fit of anger apparently over his wife`s `defiant` attitude in Mirzapur Mohallah near Kandhkot municipal committee hall on Thursday, officials at the C-Section police station said.
According to preliminary investigation, Azizullah Malik had forbidden his wife, Farzana Malik, from visiting her parents` house. He lost patience when he came to know that she had gone to her patents` house.
On Thursday, Azizullah, along with his brother Naseebullah and some associates, went to his in-laws` house and tried to force his wife to accompany him back to his house immediately, the police said, adding that upon failing to persuade her, he opened fire on his in-laws instantly killing his mother-in-law Samani Malik and wounding Farzana Malik and her brother Imran Malik.
The wounded victims were rushed to the Kandhkot Civil Hospital, where doctors referred them to a major hospital in Larkana due to their precarious condition.
Farzana Malik succumbed to her wounds a little later.
According to the C-Section SHO, police chased the suspects but they drove into Rajanpur district (Punjab) to escape arrest.
The bodies of Farzana and Samani were handed over to the heirs after a post-mortem examination at Kandhkot Civil Hospital.
