TAXILA: A man killed his father over a domestic dispute in Dhoke Dobba Gallial area of Jand on Tuesday.

Sub-inspector Anwar told mediapersons that Rasheed Ahmed needed money and asked his father Basheer Ahmed to sell his land for the purpose, but he had refused to do so. As a result, an altercation took place between the two during which Rasheed took out his pistol and shot his father dead.

Jand police registered the case and have stahed funher investigations.

Meanwhile, Attock police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested seven drug peddlers and seized over 13kg charas, 1.15kg of opium and 350 grams of heroin.

Police sources said the crackdown was launched in the limits of Attock, Hazro and Hassanabdal police stations. Separate cases have been registered against them under the drugs act.-Correspondent
