BAHAWALNAGAR: Fort Abbas police claimed on Monday they had arrested a man who murdered his daughter for honour.

Munir Ahmed Sheikh, of 265/HR village, killed his 21-year-old daughter Rashida who was married two months ago against her will.

The police said she wanted to marry a man of the village. Three days ago, she came to meet her parents and also visited the man with whom she was alleged to have an affair. Her father brought her back from the man`s house and later killed her with an axe, the police added.

The police arrested Munir who confessed to the murder.

ARRANGEMENTS:Punjab Zakat and Ushr Minister Mian Shoukat Ali Laleka has instructed the strict implementation of price control, security, and the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) Act of 2015.
