Girl killed by father and brother for `honour`
SIALKOT A girl was killed by her father and brother in name of honour at village Kotli Malhiyaan-Satrah of Daska tehsil.
According to the first information report (FIR), Aysha was a student of MA. Her father, Muhammad Arif, had suspicion that she had developed relations with someone in the village. Arif, in connivance with his son, Laig Ahmed, strangled Aysha after torturing her brutally.
Police said both the suspects fled after committing the murder. Police shifted body to the Daska Civil Hospital for autopsy and registered a case against the suspects on report of Sub-Inspector Abdul Hakim.
TORTURE: A woman was tortured allegedly by her husband and in-laws over a domestic dispute at village Dharam Kot-Satrah of Daska tehsil.
According to the FIR, Sikandar, his elder brothers Izzat, Amajd, Manzur Ahmed and their father, Ahmed Ali, brutally torture d Parveen Bibi, 26, with wooden sticks.
Bibi`s father, Muhammad Akram, alleged that his daughter fell unconscious during torture. The suspectsthought she had died and threw her into the fields. Some villagers found her there in critical condition and shifted her to Daska Civil Hospital. Both the legs of Bibi and arms were reportedly badly fractured.
Parveen Bibi is the mother of three children.
On the report of Akram, the Satrah police registered a case against the suspects.
ROBBERY: A case was registered against three robbers for robbing an expat of cash in national and foreign currencies in police uniform near Glotiyaan village on main Daska-Gujranwala Road, about three weeks back.
According to the FIR, lodged by victim Imran Ahmed with Bambaanwala police station, the incident occurred on Aug 23.
The FIR said Gujranwala-based Imran had returned from Muscat and landed at the Sialkot International Airport. He was going to his home in Gujranwala along with his family when three robbers, wearing police uniform, appeared in a car that had siren light on it. They halted Imran`s car, made the family hostage at gunpoint and took away cash before fleeing.
Imran said it had taken him three weeks to get this case registered with Bambaanwala police.
