TAXILA: Wah Saddar police on Monday arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted his 13-year-old maid after forcing her to take liquor in presence of his wife in his house located in Wah Model Town area.

Police also booked and arrested the suspect`s wife for facilitating her husband in the crime.

Talking to media, DSP Javaid Hassan said the father of the victim reported to police that his wife and 13-year-old daughter works as maid in the house.

The DSP said the medical examination of the girl had confirmed the rape. Police hev registered a case against the accused and stared further investigation.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman died after she was hit by a speeding dumper near Jinnah Colony on G.T.

Road in limits of Wah Saddar police station.

The woman fell from a rickshaw on a U-turn.

Police have registered a case against the dumper driver who managed to flee from the scene successfully.
