NOWSHERA: A 10-year-old boy was slaughtered after assault in Khan Sher Ghari area of Pabbi here on Friday.

Pabbi police said that the accused assaulted the boy, slaughtered him and then threw his body in the fields.

They said the boy had been missing from home for last two days, adding his body was recovered from the nearby fields. He was slaughtered with a sharp instrument.

After news of the incident broke out, the relatives and local people staged a protest, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

The body was shifted to Main Rashid Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.

Mother of the boy told police that his son had been missing since May 1 and his body was found on Monday. She said they had no enmity with anyone.

Police have arrested three suspected persons and stahed investigations after registering FIR.
